Someone on Whendoneque just pointed out a link between muppety Odin, Kenny the thricewise and giant Dawn namely that Mimir, the *giant* to whom the Norse god *Odin* gave his right eye for the privilege of drinking from the well of wisdom, had the honorific *thrice-wise*. Couldn’t the name Kenny have its roots in the Scots verb ‘ken’ (know)?
