It seemed like a good idea at the time and it lets me change my name and have lots of icons and I like the subscribe/access distinction – at heart I’m a lurker who happens to post and friending people, even though I’d like to read them, often seems too familiar. I figure I’ll be cross-posting for the foreseeable and see how that works out.
