Checking in

Decided to work at home this morning on account of the weather and first heard about the bombings via a phone call from my partner who'd just made it into work and said to look at the news channel. Scenes outside UCH which is just one block from work. Scary. Relief while finding no-one I know affected. Guilt about same. Blair speaking now, he's very good at this. They'll be sending the kids home early so better get ready for that.

I'm so sorry you guys are going through this, but I'm really glad you're all right. Horrible stuff to happen. I just don't understand people who would want to do this.

I'm so relieved to know that you are safe. I just got up, and heard about this, still in shock. There is absolutely no reason to feel guilt about being saved from tragedy; it's a natural response.
