Tiny, tiny Buffy S8.1 spec

Joss has spicy, spicy brains. Someone on Whendoneque just pointed out a link between muppety Odin, Kenny the thricewise and giant Dawn namely that Mimir, the *giant* to whom the Norse god *Odin* gave his right eye for the privilege of drinking from the well of wisdom, had the honorific *thrice-wise*. Couldn’t the name Kenny have its roots in the Scots verb ‘ken’ (know)?

I thought there were some interesting ideas there too, but where it'll lead is the question.

It may just be Joss in cryptic crossword mode and a whole bunch of numbered shirts but it does make me wonder if there won't be some Norse themed villiany going on. I mean it's been noted that "muppety Odin" doesn't sound like Buffy word play but I'm not sure it sounds like Xander either unless Odin has a comic book (and his nose comes off in it). If they'd met a giant felt one-eyed viking that would be different. And everyone in the comic seems to know what a thricewise is as if they were as common as vampires now.

A very canny guess, I'd say. Only succeeding issues will tell!
