chaila: by me (wire - stringer)

Please always bring literary pretensions to The Wire. Although then I just feel inadequate for not having any more to add except pointing emphatically at what you said and agreeing. Except if Stringer is Gatsby, who is Daisy? Clearly Avon is the great love of his life, but I can't decide if that's perfect or way off. *goes to ponder*

The Towers of Mirth! I want. D'Angelo loses his status, has to take a job beneath him, won't save himself by snitching and other maybe spoilery things, since I don't know how far you are. Brilliant!

To add actual usefulness to this comment, if you don't know about this blog post reimagining The Wire as a Victorian novel, you must! I just skimmed through it and there are very, very oblique and very vague spoilers, so you may want to note it for later, depending on your level of spoiler aversion. It was the best thing on the internet for a solid month, at least. :)
