Great post. You manage to put in front of us all the reasons I love Buffy so much: she's not perfect, she struggles to do what her calling requires her to do, and somehow manages to do the hard things that entails, even if she does break nails in the process! I'm not a writer, but I think hers is probably one of the harder voices to find, because she is not someone who expresses herself easily in words. One of the great thing about SMG's portrayal was her wonderful facial expressions. She could say so much without saying a word. The look on her face as she watches Angel being sucked into Hell says volumes..and the smile at the end of Chosen volumes more.
