He does it in Astonishing X-Men as well not just the twists on twists on twists but that when you go back and look the evidence is all there from the beginning hidden in plain sight. So for example when Willow says she won't betray Buffy - any more than she already was that betrayal limited to the Kennedy flashback confession or something else?

I do wonder if this future!Willow is Willow herself reacting to some tragedy yet to happen or more of a Dark!Phoenix story where her ascension (like Cordelia's) has released some other power that both is and isn't her. Although Dark!Willow was all " Willow doesn't live here any more" talking about herself in the third person too.
