Hey--I'm glad to see a remake of this. I don't remember the first version very clearly, but I feel that adding more, um, Buffy/Parker in bed scenes and additional Angelus helped clarify the connection between two as users; the idea of Parker and Angelus "moving on" to other women (Drusilla, whatever other girl; Willow as connective tissue!) was much clearer as well.
The different aspect-ratio thing was actually helpful in showing which phase of Buffy's life was going on (I have very fuzzy memories of S4), although I suspect there must be other ways of highlighting this. In any case, I enjoyed watching this!
Thanks! I'm getting confused with myself now, but I think the overhaul in this post refers to changing a previous, previous cut which will never again see the light of day. Just let's say it was very, very bad. But I did change the porny section quite a lot so I'm glad if that worked better.
Aspect ratios, urrhg. If I could go back in time and kill one person I think it might be the guy who decided Cinemascope would lure people away from their TV sets back in the 50s. Isn't 4:3 supposed to be intrinsically pleasing to the human brain, the golden ratio or something? On my computer the whole thing looks fullscreen. I had figured that aspect ratios might look different depending on the player/OS/whatever so this is proof. Hah! And I think I do know what caused the difference.
