Feeling creative lately, having finally sent off the paper. There are vids I would like to make:

1) BSG vid to Babies by Pulp: Biological imperatives, soapy coming of age and spaceships firing off into planet ova. I’ve already edited the song down, and am absurdly proud of this, because being completely dyslexic about music I can only ever keep the bit I’m actually singing in mind at any one time. Sticking together two bits of song from different parts of the tune involves massive amounts of trial and error but this time the result sounds pretty seamless, so a good start. The annoying thing is that having seen the S3 premiere this vid absolutely has to include some Kara/Lebonen and I’d thought I could do all from the DVDs. Clipping hell beckons.

2) Vertigo/Bell Book and Candle vid to I put a spell on you by Nina Simone: No need to edit the song, it’s perfect as is and just right for the period. The main problem with this one is not being quite sure what it’s about other than “Kim Novak is hot.” Something to do with constructed personae and objects of desire. Yeah.

3) Jossverse dance vid to Crazy by Beyonce. The obvious Whedon obsession. Or a footware vid to In these shoes.

4) LKBV Angel vid to Mandy. Blame elisi for this idea, it scares me that I’m even thinking of downloading the Manilow.

5) Even scarier is wanting there to be a movie about one of those self-immolating female saints (Teresa of Avila maybe) just so I can vid it to Hit me Baby One More Time. Which the boys have been playing incesscently for days and what is it with those lyrics? Give me a sign, I must confess, I still believe. It's God as an abusive boyfriend.

The footware one is reasonably advanced in my head (I figure all the bare footage can be useful to bulk things out) but it's a little frustrating that shoes are something they talk about more than show a lot of the time.
