I remember doors. That wonderful chain of opening doorways that John Henry used to lure Savannah down. I don’t think I could have resisted them now and at Savannh’s age absolutely not. John Henry the monster locked in the basement except that from his cyberperspective he’s not monstrous just friendly and his basement is more like an eerie from which he can survey the whole world. The only doors closed to him are those to human hearts although he seems more attuned to Ellison than Weaver – she gets all his riddles wrong.
Doors closing in on Jesse, locked in her room, in her head empty except for the future, her past where she has nothing. Derek left, the mission was a lie. Hell came out of a box and took hope with it. Sorry for your loss.
I love that in this episode called To the Lighthouse they actually went to an actual lighthouse. Love.
Natalie Chaidez wrote Some must Sleep which ended with Sarah aligning with night demonesses. In the flashbacks she was the monster guarding the jungle, the story John loved best. These were good memories. As good as it gets.
John says he listens but she doesn’t say much, it’s true. She listens, it’s part of how she connects so well to strangers but speech is difficult. She tries to tell Charlie about the cancer but the words don’t convey her meaning. They preamble too long, lose her way, in the end she has to show him. A hard scene to watch, I didn’t see it coming.
It wasn’t literally a cancer but still a threat from within. Does Sarah using the defibrillators on herself mean John Henry wasn’t the only one to be resurrected? And Cameron makes three.
John Henry and his duckie-epiphany. Was he trying to turn off his own daemons before they boiled him alive? Poetic justice if they had for what he did to the psychologist? The three red dots on the box he was about to open were there last week but not when Ellison first used to visit him (I’ve been clipping). I suppose the brother could have evolved from the code Fischer loaded into the system 2 months ago but I prefer to believe it’s developed from whatever fragments survived the Arnicide in Terminator II. I hope it remembers Sarah and fears her. Lurking and growing in all the corners of the net. Feral like the Cain to John Henry’s Able. Could the new future be machine versus machine with humanity simply caught in the crossfire?
Charlie no, not Charlie. Shot wounds form a triangle but John escapes.

Such fantastic, haunting scenes.
I thought the Sarah and Charlie moment, right there at the stove, his hand on her chest and her heart in her throat? Broke my heart; one of the hardest yet most compelling moments of the show to watch.
